It was a few months ago that I have visited Alliance Nebraska to meet the Greenhouse in the Snow team.
It is mid March now and a lot of things have happened since then. We have been quite busy!
Greenhouse in the Snow Europe has been officially established in January and all paperwork has been done!
In the meantime we have rented a building in PEILLAC, Brittany France to creat our workshop. We have bought the necessary machines, some second hand (from an ecological perspective), some new, installed the electrics to connect all machines and decorated the workshop to work in a pleasant and efficient way. Also we made a large welding jig where we assemble all parts.
To make sure that our production meets the specifications of the greenhouses we have fabricated different jigs to verify all parts that we produce.
We have taken the original updated designs from Russ and tailor-made it to European standards and materials. The dimensions, angles etc are the same.
Early March we received our first large delivery of steel material to allow the start of the first series of greenhouses.
We plan to build the first European greenhouse in my garden as a demo model. You will be able to come and visit this greenhouse once it is finished. We have had some delays, due to an extremely wet winter. We could not start the groundwork’s. Now it is dry we have to deal with this nasty coronavirus. We hope this will be over soon in order to start the build!
My wife Constance, a designer in profession, has been involved in the setup of Greenhouse in the Snow Europe too. She has designed the logo, my business cards and has made all hand drawings for our website that will go live soon.
Since I returned back to Europe we have had a steady amount of requests for our greenhouses in Europe and we have sent the first quotes out. That is always a special moment!
I am quite keen to know who will be the first person that orders the unique Greenhouse in the Snow concept!
We will update you soon again!
